Sandridge Estate, nestled in a forest on a hill in beautiful Tasmania, provided for the perfect backdrop of Grace and Adam’s wedding. This beautiful property sits on 500 acres, with magnificent views along the coast and as far inland as the eye can see. Check out their celebration below, captured by Fiona Vail Photography.
Grace and Adam – in a nutshell, how would you describe your wedding day?
Rustic coastal bush party, surrounded by family and friends.
What did you think was going to be your favourite part of your day in the lead-up and what did it end up being?
Dancing! So many amazing moments but if we had to pick, it would probably be saying our vows to each other… and dancing!
On the topic of vows, did you write your own?
Yes. We personally couldn’t imagine doing it any other way as writing our own vows made our commitment to each other personal and even more special. It was also the best surprise on the day listening to what each other had written.
What about Sandridge Estate made you choose it for your big day?
The day we went to look at Sandridge, we both knew it was it. We love the coast, bush and camping, not to mention the relaxed vibe of the beautiful property. It was us in a nutshell.
Now that you and Adam are married, what’s the best piece of wedding planning advice you can share?
Make a shortlist of what the most important aspects of your day are together, and plan your wedding and budget around those elements.
If you had your time again, is there anything you’d do differently?
Start the day earlier, it went way too fast!
Finish these sentences: My partner is…
My best friend!
The best thing we did at our wedding was…
Taking a few moments just us two, to take it all in.
We splurged on…
Food and drinks, we love good food!
We saved on…
Flowers and foliage. We purchased some for the bouquets but used family and friends gardens for the rest (which made it more special) and foliage from Sandridge.
