Thousands of weddings take place in Australia each year, so when we handpick one to share on Wedshed, it's because we think it has something noteworthy to offer other engaged couples.
In this instance, it was Hannah and Nick's one-of-a-kind wedding venue, Mayfield Vineyard. Located in Orange, NSW this place has got a lot going for it, including a 100-year-old homestead and cellar door and accommodation for 28 guests across six dwellings.
The gardens where Hannah and Nick chose to hold their wedding ceremony are another unique feature here, spanning 3.6 hectares and featuring exotic trees and birdlife as well as beautiful Australian gums.
But the ceremony location wasn't Hannah and Nick's only wise choice. Taking full advantage of this venue's natural beauty, they enjoyed sunset drinks and canapés on the cellar door deck, which overlooks a lake. The acoustic music was the perfect touch.
Then they moved on to the reception, which played out seamlessly and included a few things that are also worth mentioning:
- A bride/groom entrance that turned into an epic, spontaneous dance floor.
- A delicious shared feast underneath a giant Sperry tent, followed by laugh-so-hard-you-cry speeches.
- More live music and dancing, including a choreographed father/daughter dance.
- Late night roaming desserts.
It was a day full of laughs and happy tears and all of it was captured perfectly by Lens of Rosie.
