Rain certainly wasn’t going to dampen Dani and Frank’s day at Glenworth Valley Weddings, a popular Central Coast wedding venue that’s perfect for glamping and partying all weekend. The couple brought in food trucks and got married nestled under clear umbrellas, beneath a beautiful outdoor open chapel.

In a nutshell, how would you describe your wedding day?
A magical, rainy, bohemian wedfest.
What did you expect was going to be your favourite part in the lead-up? What did it end up being?
We were just overall excited for the whole day but we definitely both loved our first look at each other, at the magical misty look out over the valley.
Did you write your own vows? If so, what made you decide to do that?
Writing our vows was always something we wanted to do and it was important to us. We kept our vows secret from one another, so hearing them on the day for the first time was so special.
What was it about Glenworth Valley Weddings that made you choose it?
As soon as we set foot on Glenworth Valley, we knew it was perfect for us! We knew we wanted to be outdoors, with a huge tipi dance floor and glamping for our guests. We wanted to stay with our friends and fam and party all weekend. We hired the big paddock at the venue and literally built our dream wedding from the ground up! It was easy to create something magic with such a stunning backdrop!
Now that you’re married, what’s your best piece of wedding planning advice you can share?
Don’t sweat the small stuff. Your guests don’t already know what colour your flowers are, your hairstyle or first dance song. If something is not right on the day, just go with it! Nobody will know any different! I had all my music on an iPod that wasn’t compatible with the DJ system. He was frantically trying to download our first dance song just beforehand with minimal internet reception. I didn’t have a care in the world.
If you had your time again, is there anything you’d do differently?
The wedding was perfect. The only thing I would have done is buy a reception dress! Due to the rain, the train on my dress was soaking wet, muddy and heavy. It did make for some hilarious memories though!
Finish these sentences: My partner is…
My best friend. Soooo cliche, but true.
The best thing we did at our wedding was…
Have a first look! It was beautiful to spend that time together and eased our nerves for the ceremony.
We splurged on…
The Open Air Chapel! We changed our ceremony set up a month or two before and oh was it worth it.
We saved on…
Catering. We had a huge grazing table and a woodfire pizza bar. Who doesn’t love pizza?!
