Put a fork in us because we are done. Knowing how anyone will ever eclipse Amy and Lawson's Byron Bay wedding at The Orchard Estate is above our pay grade. And here's the real kicker: they did it in just four months!
"Under the Tuscan Sun (in Byron Bay) was the official theme - but informally it was party, party, party with a touch of Italiano", said Amy whose ability to make quick decisions certainly paid off.
She hired a team of incredible vendors including The Weddings Shed (furniture hire) and Fig Tree Restaurant (catering), didn't overthink things and remained steadfast on her vision for the day.
But it's wasn't just their stunning alfresco set-up or outfits that made this wedding in NSW so magical. In fact, it was less about looks and more about attitude, with Amy and Lawson adding their own touch to everything.
For example, they held a ceremony on the beach in the morning with only their immediate family present, then rolled into their lunchtime wedding reception already married (a surprise to their guests!) and ready to party (cue: margarita tower and live music).
With a third of their entire wedding album being photos of them and their favourite people on the dance floor (248 to be exact), it's safe to say they did exactly that.

How did you and Lawson meet? We met at Bond University on the glitzy GC - we kept it best friends for over a decade before finding one another.
The proposal: Sunrise hiking overlooking Vaucluse. I should twigged sooner that something was up - Lawson hates a hike and rising before the sun!
The venue: The Orchard Estate - we were searching for a blank canvas with a view. A space and vision we could make our own. We fell in love with the rolling hills backdrop of Byron Bay Hinterland at Orchard, and the owner of the property Anton was so lovely, chilled and easy to get along with that we knew it was a good fit for us.
The vibe: Under the Tuscan Sun (in Byron Bay) was the official theme - but informally it was party, party, party with a touch of Italiano. We skipped as much of the traditions of the day by quietly getting married on the beach at Tallows earlier that day (just immediate family and our one-year-old daughter Sadie). We danced our way into Orchard Estate as the newlywed Hubbards, surprising all our guests, skipping straight to champagne toasts and kisses and cuddles with all our treasured family and friends.
Traditions (adopted, adapted or ditched): We definitely ditched as many traditions as we could - private marriage ceremony on the beach, aperols on arrival, very few speeches, switched out the wedding cake for a Margarita cocktail tower. But for the likes of the parents we managed to keep a few traditions - I wore white and Lawson wore a suit!
We'll always remember... We LOVED the private beach ceremony with our daughter - this was always really important to us and I'm glad we held true on this throughout the process. So special.
Equally so, boogying the night away with out nearest and dearest under the most spectacular disco ball installation with the Queen of Funk, Lisa Hunt, was out of this WORLD.
The outfit/s: I went for a separates look with a top and skirt combo by the talented Australian designer, Bowie Rae. Up top, the cropped Audrey Hepburn style top was styled with the flowiest/gushiest bridal tiered tule skirt imaginable. It was the first and only gown I looked at - t'was love at first sight.
Lawson wore an Italiano inspired tailored lounge suit, paired with a crisp white shirt by Australian Designer, Remy.
Soundtrack: Surprise! We're married entrance song: "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love), by Natalie Cole".
Hit (or near) miss: Where to start! So many little things throughout the day went awry like the table florals all blew away just moments before our guests arriving, we arrived way later than anticipated... our daughter cracked it during one of the main speeches but to be honest none of it mattered!
We found it so easy to laugh away these mini moments when surrounded by all your family and friends, in a beautiful landscape such a The Orchard Estate and a glass of champagne in hand. We just rolled with it.
Words of wisdom: Make fast decisions and move on - we pulled the trigger on our wedding four months out, invites and all! Don't get me wrong the tight timeframe was stressful towards the end, but it meant we didn't dwell on decisions made or felt like the entire wedding process was overly drawn out.
The future: No more wedding planning! And focusing on our next exciting chapter in life. Baby number two due in October 2024.
