This NSW elopement shoot arrived in our inbox at the perfect time, given we’d just named micro-weddings and elopements one of our top wedding trends for 2021. It took place at Barrington Tops National Park and was orchestrated by Revel Elopements – a tribe of talented NSW wedding vendors who all share an unwavering belief that every wedding should tell its own story.
Take Jordy and Cass – the real life couple who took park in this NSW elopement shoot – as an example. Their love story began in Canada, where they met while roaming the world. Along with a shared love of adventure, they are both spiritual people who feel most at ease when they’re out in nature. As photographer James White tells us, “they love the earth, they feel a great connection to it and enjoy celebrating what it has to give. As a result… a regular wedding would never have done, as they certainly are not the kind for traditions.”
With that in mind, a first look and an intimate and private ceremony styled by As Sweet As Jasmine, alongside celebrant That Altar Guy, was a natural choice for Jordy and Cass, who were made to look the part courtesy of Karen Willis Holmes, Rundles Tailoring, Loren Murnane Makeup and Lisa Fowler Hair + Makeup.
“When I followed up with them the following week (after I had already delivered their photos), they mentioned how… it was so them, it was peaceful, intimate, about them and their love. They absolutely loved how closely we worked with them to find out who they were, so we could tell their love story perfectly.”
