“We got sick of seeing the same boring wedding set-ups every weekend”, says photographer Jess of Lilac In Hand, the driver behind this urban colour styled shoot. “So we pulled together a team of our favourite vendors in South Australia to do a styled shoot that we hope will inspire people to step out of their comfort zone”.
It’s a concept Jess clearly felt passionate about, given she even roped her Grandma into lending an extra hand. “Many of the styling elements were made especially for this shoot, with the rings completely custom (and available for purchase), inspired by our theme of urban colour. My darling Grandma even made the streamers!”
Everyone involved in this shoot is worthy of a mention – with every element tying perfectly together to create a playful and vibrant wedding set-up – but the florals by Dainty Posy, cake by Myrtle and Clay and neon sign by Neon Party were key to achieving Jess’s unique concept. Some of our fave bits? It’s a coin toss between the bridal separates by Cathleen Jia (from The Bride Lab) and the dog’s streamer necklace.
