The Riverstone Estate, among other things, is renowned for its views. A unique VIC wedding venue, it sits on 75 acres and overlooks the beautiful Yarra Valley wine region. Come sunset, it’s pure magic.
For photographer Courtney Laura, it was a no brainer that this stunning backdrop would be the focus of this recent styled shoot, which aims to highlight the property’s picturesque surrounds.
The vendors were left to their own devices and Always Eventive and Edward and I created a unique ceremony set-up (that later became a perfect portrait location) by pairing warm, earthy florals with an eclectic mix of furniture.
Renate Elise Designer Cakes brought everyone their sugar fix with two giant, black and gold coloured wedding cakes while La Da Da Letters and Willow Lane Paperie provided stationery and signage. The bride’s gown was a timeless creation by local Melbourne designer Georgia Young Couture (if you haven’t seen her designs, we highly recommend checking her out) and her hair and makeup was courtesy of Maddie Pollard.
Meanwhile, the venue itself – a storybook homestead with a soaring pitched roof – sat quietly in the background, making only a brief appearance toward the end of the couple’s beautiful, golden hour portrait session. The result? A successful shoot that hopefully ended with a celebratory glass of The Riverstone’s local wine.
