In keeping with the brief, WedShed faves Good Day Club and Darling Don’t Panic incorporated soft, autumnal tones and carefully curated pieces into their eclectic styling (we particularly love the use of dried foliage and repurposed crystal decanters). Shot in a rustic, Yarra Valley venue, Shearer’s Hill has majestic views and a stunning Federation house, making it the perfect location for a low-key styled wedding shoot.
“We wanted the shoot to be super informal, all about relaxed vibes…” says photographer Ashleigh Haase who says they chose Shearer’s Hill for its “earthy and homely feel”.
The bride wore an elegant, timeless design by KWH by Karen Willis and hair and makeup was kept simple and natural, again creating an informal and fun vibe.
“I wanted it to encourage couples and be an inspiration on how to break away from tradition on their wedding day and have a unique day, specific to what they want”, says Ashleigh, whose sentiment we support wholeheartedly.
