We knew Tash and Jonny were our kind of people as soon as we saw these photos taken by one of our fave photographers, Luke Going at one of our fave venues, Summergrove Estate.
Featuring a gorgeous floral gown, bright pink shoes, a scrumptious looking cake and a stunning ceremony backdrop, we hope you love ogling over these images as much as we did.
Tell us about how you met and the proposal?
We met out on the town and spent the morning of the engagement on the beach watching the sunrise.
What DIY projects did you do accomplish for the wedding?
We attempted flowers, but completely failed. Luckily we found an amazing florist to save the day only weeks out.
What sort of vibe did you want to create for the day?
A big wedding/family reunion to get everyone together for a big party.
What traditions did you involve during your big day?
All of the women in our family have worn bright shoes to their weddings.
What advice would you give to other couples leading up to their big day?
Enjoy it! It’s only one day. Do your best to take a moment together, to appreciate what the hard work has been for. Budget well at the start, because the easiest way to reduce stress at the end is just to pay problems away.
What does marriage mean to you?
Officially becoming part of one another’s families. Bringing family together. And a promise to one another to look after each other.
What was your favourite moment on your wedding day?
Jonathan: Driving a golf cart through the wedding reception twice while running around getting wedding photos. Waving to everyone from the cart while they cheered, then driving straight through not stopping. And just having all of my extended family together for the first time since 2007. Also when Natasha came down the aisle, and just blew me and everyone away.
Natasha: The sense of relief after the ceremony, and just being able to enjoy everything.
Ceremony song?
Beautiful Girls ‘Dela’.
First dance song?
Hot Chip ‘In the Privacy of Our Love’.
