EarthHouse is a unique wedding venue which is characterised by its beautiful rammed earth walls. For Brydie and Michael, it was the perfect spot to host their relaxed Byron Bay wedding and share a cocktail with their favourite friends and family.

Tell us about how you met and the proposal?
Longtime friends, short time lovers. Was meant to be. Shock proposal at the top of Passage Peak on Hamilton Island – sweaty incline was worth every step!!!!
What DIY projects did you accomplish for the wedding?
None – we just worked with great vendors to choose our preferences guided by their expertise!
What was your theme/inspiration/vibe for your wedding?
Leveraging from the EarthHouse natural beauty and class. Adding in native blooms with copper and matte finishings.
What advice would you give to other couples leading up to their big day?
Think mostly about who is there on the day, who means the most to you. Whether they have been in your life a little or a lot, you want to share this with your most favourite. Plus, a cocktail hour is a must!!!!
What does marriage mean to you?
The commitment to the right person to share life experiences with.
What was your favourite moment on your wedding day?
The ceremony – sharing very special words in front of our favourite people.
What traditions did you involve during your big day?
None really – it was super relaxed and all about having a great night with great people that mean the most to us from around the world.
Tell us any funny stories that surrounded your wedding?
The bus ride back to Byron!!!!!!!! Nine different spirit bottles circulated around the bus which fuelled many, many random sing alongs… that poor driver (who was amazing btw!).
Ceremony song?
The XX, Angels.
First dance song?
Big Mountain, Baby I Love Your Way.
