A short time ago, we packed ourselves into a car, fuelled up (with coffee, that is) and hit the road. *Beep boop beep boop* Destination: adventure!
For those who don’t watch Modern Family, that would’ve been confusing, sorry. We couldn’t resist. But the destination was good. Unbelievably good.
We headed out to Dryridge Estate in the NSW Blue Mountains – a jaw-droppingly beautiful part of the world with views for days of the surrounding ranges and countryside.
And it got better. We met with a collection of incredibly talented wedding vendors to create, play, chat and feast – all in the name of inspiring you.
As you may have noticed, we’re rather fond of easygoing outdoor celebrations that hero handsome landscapes. When it came to this styled shoot, we decided it was time to revisit the rustic trend and give it a modern revamp with textured linen, animal hides, ceramics, wood, metals and glass, plus raw and rambling foliage.
The result? A bloody romantic bush bash, if we may so ourselves.
Nicole from Penny Lane Studio was the styling force behind that eucalypt-framed ceremony set-up and epic table setting featuring ceramic-ware from Dorothy and Vaughan, which wouldn’t have been complete had Alex and Joel from The Blonde Butler Catering not been there to adorn it with their delicious signature grazing spread.
Merrin from Mable & Elsi provided us with our next predicted wedding trend: tumbleweed. This humble plant deserves centre-piece placement at weddings this season. Her other wild and unstructured blooms were equally inspiring too and paired well with the beautiful naked cake provided by Hannah from Gracious Honey.
The wonderful Danika and Doug at D&D Letterpress helped us out with an elegant stationary set. We’re suckers for some pretty lettering and good stock. .
And last but certainly not least, the lovely lens-wizard Grace from Willow & Co. was there to capture it all in these magical photos that you’re about to see.
We finished off the day pulling up a chair and feasting with new friends and a few glasses of Dryridge Estate’s delicious wines. All in all, it’s what we’d call a perfect day and we hope you enjoy the fruits of it.
