It's odd how two people from the same state (or suburb!) don't often meet until they're living on the other side of the world. Some people might even call it fate.

Rhianon and Daniel are one such couple. They met at a hostel while travelling through Europe and continued to see each other once they were both back in Australia (turns out they only lived an hour apart).

Their decision to get married at Rowlee Wines - one of the dreamiest wedding venues in Orange, NSW - was not unlike their love story. They saw the venue, decided it was a perfect match and asked if it was available.

"Rowlee Wines was the first and only venue we looked at and knew it was the one for us", said Rhiannon.

It was a classic marquee wedding, with everything from the outfits to the styling kept minimal and timeless. Captured by one of our all time faves Ripple Weddings, you can check out the entire celebration below.

How did you and Daniel meet?

We first meet almost nine years ago in Lagos, Portugal. We were both young and travelling around enjoying a European summer. We were staying in the same hostel and were together for three days until we both had to travel to our next destination.

I met Daniel at the end of my trip but he still had four months left of travel. Knowing we only lived an hour away from each other at the time made it very easy to keep in contact most days. As soon as he got home we met up and have been together ever since.

The proposal:

Daniel got me up for an early sunrise walk down at our local beach. It was simple, perfect and just us as the beach in the morning is one of our favourite places.

After that we called all our friends and family, followed by a beautiful lunch celebrating just the two of us.

The venue:

We always wanted to get married in Orange. We’ve been quite a few times and love it there - all the wineries and country pubs.

Rowlee Wines was the first and only venue we looked at and knew it was the one for us. We loved the idea of a marquee wedding overlooking the vineyards. The ceremony area was beautiful with so much greenery.
Also it has a cute cottage at the venue and that’s where I got ready the morning of, and the night of the wedding Daniel and I stayed there.

Nicole and James are the owners and they were amazing vendors the whole time.

The vibe:

The vibe of our wedding was classic and elegant. All flowers where white and green, stationary was all black and white. I’m very neutral with my colours!

Traditions (adopted, adapted or ditched):

We just did things that felt right for us and had meaning for us.

The outfit/s:

My dress was Marquise Bridal from the Ivory room - it was classic and timeless. Daniel wore a Black Tux.

Standout vendors:

ALL OF THEM! We honestly had the best vendors, we had the most magical day because of them.

Hit or (near) miss:

Nothing went wrong, we were honestly so lucky and everything went to plan and even above my expectations!

I'll always remember...

The ceremony and the speeches, you really just feel so much love from all your nearest and dearest.

Soundtrack:

Aisle song: "Truly, Madly, Deeply", by Savage Garden. Signage: "Signed, Sealed, Delivered", by Stevie Wonder. "Dreams", by Fleetwood Mac. Recessional: "Lovely Day", by Bill Withers. Entrance: "Praise You", by Fatboy Slim. First dance: "Everlong", by Foo Fighters.

Words of wedding wisdom:

Try not stress throughout the planning, everything will always work out. Trust your vendors, they are the experts.

I was so surprised on the wedding day, everyone just left me alone, all the planning was all done and all the vendors just knew what to do.

The future:

It’s just been over 12 months since our wedding and we very fortunate that we welcomed our little daughter 10 days before our first wedding anniversary.
