Penny and Jeremy made some smart decisions when it came to their wedding day.
They got married on their own property in Flinders, Victoria.
They splurged on drinks, set up an outdoor dance floor and let the landscape and greenery steal the spotlight.
Penny modified her mum’s wedding dress and wore a white jumpsuit over the top of it.
And together, they hired Popup with Style to transform a patch of grass into something seriously spectacular. These guys are blank space wedding experts – you provide the venue, they’ll bring the rest and build you something super stylish from the ground-up. Case in point, this wedding.
Penny, what did you expect was going to be your favourite part in the lead-up? What did it end up being?
Spending time with family and friends and creating something that reflected us as a couple. It ended up being exactly that.
Did you write your own vows? And why?
We wrote our own to make the day more meaningful for us and our guests.
What’s your best piece of wedding-related advice?
Don’t get wrapped up in all the little things! Just include what is important to you and don’t be afraid to change things up a bit.
Finish these sentences…
My partner is… spectacular.
The best thing we did at our wedding was… a dance floor with a view.
We splurged on… drinks of all varieties – forgot the water.
We saved on… letting the landscape and the greenery create our setting.
