The private estate is nestled in the foothills of the Wollombi Valley and offers numerous ceremony and reception areas with no setting limitations and complete flexibility.

Exclusively yours for the day (or weekend!), our property provides the perfect canvas to create your unique and personalised celebration. We provide everything you need including ceremony and reception furniture, setup per your specifications, on-the-day coordination, and pack-down, so you just need to add greenery, flowers and your own styling touch. With outdoor, indoor and wet-weather options; catering and bar flexibility; cottage accommodation onsite; and no minimum numbers – Stonehurst Cedar Creek is the perfect Hunter Valley wedding destination.

THE GROVE creates a stunning ceremony backdrop amongst the ornamental pear trees or the perfect setting for long table dining under the stars. The terraced lawn connects The Grove, Pavilion and Wine Cellar, and is ideal area for lawn games, canapés and pre-dinner drinks as the sun sets over the mountains.

CREEKSIDE ceremony locations are abundant at Stonehurst. Nestled amongst the casuarina trees, overlooking the stone causeway or on the edge of the riverbank in our new landscaped setting, the Creekside options provide a private and picturesque area for your vows.

THE COTTAGE VINEYARD is an unforgettable backdrop for ceremonies. Set on the edge of our Shiraz vineyards, this outdoor location overlooks the bush covered valley and soaring mountains of our 5th-generation estate.

THE PAVILION is a beautiful wet-weather ceremony location that also offers an open-air dining area. Purpose built, the Pavilion is set amongst the poplar trees and overlooks the flowing creek below.

THE WINE CELLAR offers an indoor, industrial-chic event space that can be styled to suit all celebrations. A converted warehouse, The Wine Cellar features 22-foot high ceilings with exposed steel beams, a barrel lined wall and handcrafted elephant doors, opening onto The Grove. From simple table vases to hanging floral installations, this is the perfect setting to create your beautifully personalised wedding.

ACCOMMODATION: Holding your event at Stonehurst Cedar Creek offers you the ease and convenience of accommodation onsite. The property’s seven private, self-contained vineyard cottages provide ideal accommodation for 28 guests, with many additional accommodation options in the area. Gather for a pre-wedding dinner or relax the morning after with a group breakfast in The Grove. Each cottage is treated to a country breakfast hamper, complimentary port and chocolates, claw-foot or spa bath, wood fire and late check-out for all guests.

CATERING: With no exclusive caterers, Stonehurst Cedar Creek offers total flexibility to use any provider you wish! From food trucks to buffets, wood-fired pizzas to 5-course degustation, and everything in between. Our team can provide recommendations for all styles of catering, or you can bring in your favourite supplier. The only limit is your imagination – and personal menu touches make for a truly unique celebration.

DRINKS: As a BYO venue, wedding couples can create their own dream bar, with drinks perfectly curated to reflect the individual tastes and personalities of the duo, friends and family (and all within budget!). Think craft beers, a selection of your most-loved whiskeys, signature cocktails or sangria – the options are endless! All beverages are BYO, except wine and bubbles, which are selected from the award-winning Stonehurst Wine range. Served from your favourite bar vendor or by our Stonehurst team, create the perfect atmosphere to celebrate your day.

More about the venue team

Stonehurst is a 5th generation farm, with Laura & Anthony the current custodians of the family property. On land granted to three Napoleonic War Veterans in the 1870s, we are incredibly proud of the estate we have cultivated over the years since our family took over the care of the land. Originally a cattle-grazing and fruit orchard farm, Stonehurst now includes organic vineyards, heritage-styled cottage accommodation, a sandstone Cellar Door and our indoor and outdoor wedding & event spaces.

We are so grateful this beautiful property has stayed within our family and that we can continue to share it’s beauty with you. With respect to the farm’s heritage, we have endless plans for Stonehurst in creating a unique and timeless venue to share for years to come.
