In 2015, inspired by their travels throughout some of the world’s most beautiful vineyard areas and with a focus on ticking off some items that were on their "Bucket List", Natalie and her husband Andrew along with their two young daughters decided on a tree change from life in Sydney to the Hunter and have not looked back.
Getting engaged and married in 2009 they had a vision of what they wanted for their own wedding and they looked all over NSW, QLD, VIC and New Zealand struggling to find what they were after.
Having been employed in the finance industry for many years, they had both attended numerous Gala Dinners, Charity Nights and Conferences and didn't want their wedding to feel like another work event. They were looking for something more intimate and private than the typical function centre, with a more relaxed but yet elegant vibe where they could stay for a few days. Their guest list was around the 120 mark. At that time there were very few "private venues" of any sort available for weddings and those that offered the option to host a wedding involved a huge amount of logistics and hired in event equipment, marquees etc, that was going to mean a lot of stress and cost.
This became the inspiration for Squire's - to offer an intimate and private venue with purpose built indoor and outdoor areas that fully supports a stress free and enjoyable wedding experience for couple's all year round, no matter the weather. Our in-house styling team thrive when bringing the vision that couple's have for their day together utilising the extensive inventory of wedding styling pieces and equipment that we are constantly expanding - all whilst still allowing couples the flexibility to BYO their drinks. Together, Andrew and Natalie continue to build on their vision and love seeing couples and their guests enjoying the beautiful spaces they have created.
