Perched atop a hill, the Fig Tree Restaurant presents some of the region’s most iconic hinterland and ocean views. Venture out past the grapevines, olive grove and orchard to behold the beauty of the venue’s most iconic feature – its majestic 150-year-old fig tree, framing sweeping hinterland to ocean views all the way out to the Byron Bay Lighthouse.

Start your day with a ceremony sheltered underneath the 150-year-old Moreton Bay fig, then head down to the pool area for cocktails and canapes before enjoying a romantic evening inside the restaurant. You will have the opportunity to enjoy all areas of this marvellous property throughout your wedding day.

Fig Tree Restaurant evokes an air of classic romance and contemporary elegance. Che, head chef and owner, along with his talented team, keep things simple with fresh, organic produce sourced predominantly from the restaurant’s own gardens along with the fields, paddocks and oceans that surround Byron Bay. In the restaurant, he combines this premium produce with his creativity and experience, gained from years spent travelling and cooking around the world

To help decide your wedding menu, you will be invited to the restaurant to enjoy a free six-course tasting.

Fig Tree Restaurant also offers on-site accommodation making it easy for you, your family or bridal party to get ready in or retire to.

THEIR STORY

It all started with a simple dream back in 1979 born by the Devlin family; To convert a historic farmhouse into a simple restaurant, serving food directly from their garden to the community.

In the beginning, eager diners were welcomed into the Devlin family home to share a meal at their table. Their son, Che, began running the family restaurant in 2005 and has expanded on his parents' founding vision, with their gentle guidance, to grow the restaurant into what it is today.

Now in our 5th decade, Fig Tree has evolved into an iconic place to dine, where first dates, family celebrations, birthdays & weddings are celebrated and memories are created. Our Fig Tree family continues to grow & evolve but we still continue to honour its legacy & founding vision.
