REAL WEDDING: Lauren + Jesse

Having a donut desert table wasn’t Lauren and Jesse’s only brilliant idea. They also decided to get married at Stanley Park, a stunning NSW waterfront wedding venue just north of Newcastle and outsourced their styling to the talented folk behind The Wedding Designer.

Hey guys, in a nutshell, how would you describe your wedding day?

Relaxed and fun.

What did you expect was going to be your favourite part in the lead-up? What did it end up being?

The reception and it stayed that way, our reception was amazing!

Did you write your own vows? If so, what made you do that?

We both did, we wanted a really personal touch to our ceremony and we definitely got that!

What was it about Stanley Park that made you choose it as your wedding venue?

We had driven past by chance, I remember stopping the car, turning to Jesse and saying no matter what, this is where we had to get married!

What’s your best piece of wedding-related advice?

Don’t overthink it! Plan your wedding for you both and not for anyone else.

If you had your time again, is there anything you’d do differently?

Absolutely nothing, our day was perfect!

Our wedding designers! They took all of the stress away so we could just focus on each other and our guests.

Gifts for our guests. We didn’t do gifts on tables, we had a donut dessert table and added some brown lunch bags for our guests to take one to go if they wished.
