The idea that your wedding dress will likely be the most expensive item of clothing you ever own is a little outdated. These days, there are plenty of gowns out there that are both beautiful and budget-friendly. In fact, a lot of Australian fashion labels like Shona Joy, MLM and Spell & The Gypsy Collective have launched their own collection of affordable wedding dresses.
Since we regularly get asked by brides-to-be where they can go to find something with a lower price tag, we’ve rounded-up 20 wedding dresses under $1,000 from a handful of Australian labels.
What we will say, is that there’s a reason many gowns are more expensive – they’re not your average dress. Bridal gowns are carefully crafted, tailored and often made for your own body using the most premium materials and seamstress skills. Sometimes there are multiple fittings included too – there’s an experience that’s factored in.
If you’re on the hunt for something on the more affordable side, we’ve listed the price and a link to the online store where you can purchase each dress. Happy browsing.
