If you haven’t seen (or heard) of these totally cute and seriously tasty food trucks that are traveling their way around Australia, then do read on. Or if you’re simply looking for one yourself, then click here to check out a range we have on WedShed.

Grazing tables, quirky desserts, bespoke and curated drinks like pimped out proseccos, food that’s easy to eat mid-conversation, and late-night wedding snacks (hello cheeseburgers) are popping up more and more.

Here are a few easy to digest bullet points on why you should consider a food truck or caravan bar for your wedding:

  • You can get most things served in a truck, or caravan. We’re talking Asian food, pizza, dessert vans, gelato carts, and bespoke cocktails and beverages from caravans.
  • They look EPIC at the wedding. Your photography will be on point.
  • Typically it can be set up wherever you fancy, whether it’s directly outside the venue, or on the grass of the property.
  • They provide you with a totally flexible schedule, like being able to serve drinks during the ceremony or nibbles during the reception. Not to mention late-night feeds for your guests.
  • Easy clean up goes a long way, especially if you’re expected to handle this the day after your wedding – or you’re hosting a total DIY gig.
  • Having a food truck enables your guests to mingle with one another more easily, rather than being sat next to one or two guests all night.
  • They can feed a large crowd of hungry guests quickly.
  • They can be seriously cost-effective.
  • Most caravan bars will allow you to BYO your own beverages, meaning you can get wholesale rates on alcohol, but still have a professional serve them at your wedding,
