Every year, we get together to celebrate the year that was with our very awesome crew of partnered wedding venues and vendors. Without them, WedShed would not be possible, so it’s always a treat to mingle, celebrate, share a glass of frosé or five.
A bunch of special people came together to make our 2019 Wedmas Bash as merry as it was, starting with the brilliant location that is Beachside Dojo in Manly, Sydney. Few Sydney wedding venues tick quite as many boxes as Beachside Dojo does – an iconic, waterfront space located directly opposite Manly Beach with million-dollar views. The catering is phenomenal and the team friendly and accommodating. That’s a jackpot result.
Beachside Dojo’s Hamptons-style vibe was the perfect setting for styling and floral co. George and Smee to do their thing – we’re talking some of the best Christmas styling we’ve ever seen. We think these guys nailed the perfect ratio of disco balls, neons, rad florals and streamers. Watching these guys bump in and do their thing was seriously cool and we wholeheartedly suggest you say g’day if you’re wedding planning.
The tone for the event was set right from the first seconds, with guests greeted by alpacas (not kidding) thanks to our friends at Alpaca Kisses. The completely adorable and well-behaved Chai and Casper literally rubbed noses with everyone as they arrived and we have officially added these friendly beasts to our must-have list of animals for our future imaginary farm.
A huge thank you to the bubbly personality behind the camera that is James White Photography – an absolute legend responsible for the snaps you’ll see below. Speaking of footage, Sam from Velvet Sea Productions is the man you want behind your wedding film, and he’s the guys behind the sharp footage from this night.
Big ups to We Play Records for always smashing out the tunes and getting the dancefloor pumping. In An Instant Photobooth added to the fun with their completely addictive open-air photobooth (thank you for the classic snaps and boomerangs). The Gelato Bike kept us coming back for seconds with their handcrafted gelato (we’re still thinking of that passionfruit sorbet). It definitely tastes better when scooped from a charming bicycle wagon.
Last but not least, a special thank you to Kings of Neon for our gorgeous neons (the WedShed shines bright in our office everyday – custom signage is their jam) and to our Blaze Displays for our bar and name tag table signage.
Here’s how the evening looked.
