The history of Mayfield dates back to 1813 when the explorer William Charles Wentworth was the first to cross the Blue Mountains. As a thank you, he received ‘Mayfield’ as a Crown Grant from the Governor of NSW. Not bad, hey?
Since then, the property has seen a number of different owners (including The Crawford Family – well-known English biscuit-making barons) and most recently, it has found its way into the hands of the Eastham Family – Orange locals who also acquired the adjoining vineyard (previously a part of Mayfield but
