The Old Coach Stables

The Old Coach Stables were built in 1857 and used by Cobb & Co mail service. The stables have been recently restored into a beautiful restaurant.

The Old Coach Stables provides a very unique venue in a rural setting for your special day. Our venue is a wonderful combination of history, food and wine on a working sheep and cattle property in the Southern Tablelands. We are located 50 minutes from Canberra and 30 minutes from Yass, Goulburn and Crookwell, NSW. We invite you to call and make a appointment, we would love to show you around the stables and gardens.

Our venue hire is $2,000 for the whole weekend and our two course meals start at $60.00 per head.

Hi, my name is Melinda Medway. Myself and my husband Scott own the Old Coach Stables, we have worked in hospitality for over 15 years, so you can be rest assured your day is in safe hands. We have also been in agriculture all our lives growing wool, lamb and beef.

In restoring the old stables we have worked tirelessly for two years as to keep the history of the stables intact. The stables had its past and they have been restored to now have a future.

Scott and myself are very passionate about our local village Gunning in which we owned and operated two cafes, employing many locals which we hope to continue through our new business venture, which opened in April 2016.
