Ready to ditch the wedding planning stress? Well, you’re in luck! Welcome to Pioneer Country, a private country estate with its own chapel, rolling lawns that is conveniently located only 10 minutes from the beach and accommodation.
Our property has been in the family for more than 100 years. It's a 170 hectare private estate where heart is at the centre of everything we do - from hosting gorgeous, truly personal weddings, to running our cattle farm.
We’re here to handle all the nitty-gritty details — from schedules to scrumptious eats and stunning decor. You'll love our farm sized portions, in-house paddock to plate menu and our midnight liquor license.
With the ability to host big (up to 220 guests) and small weddings, as well as host your furry friends, we are an inclusive venue and we pride ourselves on helping couples host a day that is utterly "you guys".
Whether you're after a classic soiree, a relaxed shindig or a full on hoe-down, we love working with couples to make sure no two weddings are ever the same.
Howdy,
I’m Sarah, your in-house wedding curator here at Pioneer Country. A pleasure to meet you!
Our roots run deep here. The Sullivan family has been tending to this farm since 1892, and we’ve been in the hospitality game since ’76 when we opened up the Smokehouse Steakhouse right on the property. And, fun fact, our chapel was actually built back in ’94 for my wedding to a fella called Bruce from Yorkshire.
Now, let me take you on a little journey through my past. From helping out with horse trail rides to serving up steaks in the family restaurant, I’ve worn many hats. But it was my time in the corporate world – Brisbane, London, Melbourne, even Shanghai – that really honed my event management skills. Who knew those big city adventures would prep me for running our little piece of Northern Rivers paradise?
Speaking of paradise, Tweed Valley has it all – stunning coastline, lush hinterland, and a whole lot of charm. Plus, we’re conveniently located just a stone’s throw away from Brisbane, Byron Bay, and the Gold Coast International Airport. Can’t beat that!
When it comes to food, we’re all about keeping it local. Our paddock-to-plate ethos means we’re all about supporting our fellow producers. And trust me, our kitchen crew knows how to turn local produce into something truly special.
But enough about us, let’s talk about you and your big day. Whether you’re flying by the seat of your pants or you’ve got a Pinterest board bursting at the seams, I’m here to make sure your vision becomes a reality.
Cheers
Sarah (she)
