I’m so glad you found me. You are here because you want a ceremony (and reception) that is unique, fun, non-traditional and above all not a snooze fest!

I have a weird and wonderful way of performing and crafting YOUR love story. I am waging war on boring weddings. I am a young(ish!) vibrant Civil Celebrant making magic in Newcastle, The Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and beyond! So let’s get this party started

I’m the type of gal, that loves to get to know you. I am a bubbly, chatty, hyperactive, gin and coffee loving gal. I am a wife to a record loving, bass playing, tattooed dude and mum to a curly headed, fun loving, sassy toddler. I am a party starter and ultimate wedding crasher.

When I’m not hitching loved up humans, you can find me rocking out to punk, glam-rock and metal music. I get a buzz out of watching live music. I love Queens of the Stoneage, The Bronx, Motley Crue, a brightly lit pin ball machine, 80s cartoons and the TV show “How I met your mother”. “Kickstart my heart” is the theme song to my life and my spirit animal would be a meerkat.

I am passionate about making the day all about the two of you and injecting your personalities into your ceremony. As well as keeping you both calm and making the day drama free. Let’s sit down over a beverage of some kind and you will quickly find out, that I am the Mel and I’ve got your back, I genuinely give a stuff and I want to showcase you babes for who YOU are on YOUR wedding day!

I became a celebrant because I felt the weddings I attended were missing that WOW factor. They seemed to be all the same, a bit of a snore fest and didn’t seem to have that spark or feel personal. Believe me when I say I totally get that planning a wedding can be a total head spin, I was in your position 7 years ago. Let me be your wedding wingwoman, your wedding spirit guide, your wedding fairy god-sister and most of all, your wedding bestie.

If you believe that the movies “Stepbrothers” and “Empire Records” are the greatest movies of all time then I think we just became best friends.
