We’re sharing the best NSW country wedding venues. For reference, these aren’t the kind of wedding venues that use hay bales and bunting as decoration, or mason jars as drinking vessels (RIP trend. You had your time).
These are unique properties that serve couples everything we love about Australia on a silver spoon (awe-inspiring natural landscapes and absolutely cracking food and wine), competing with big-smoke luxury (day spas, thoughtful styling, boutique accommodation and fine dining options).
If you’re drawn to the idea of a weekend-long wedding somewhere that allows you and your loved ones to enjoy the best of everything, you’re in the right place.
Rowlee Wines // Orange, NSW
Rowlee Wines is one of those “did I just teleport to the Italian countryside?” places. With lush, hedged lawns, rambling cottage gardens, fruit trees, an olive grove and endless rows of vines, it’s breathtakingly beautiful. In addition to delicious alcoholic drinks, here you’ll find stunning ceremony and reception locations, seasonal menus and boutique accommodation for two on-site.
Rowlee Wines is managed exclusively by Wedshed’s expert team (which means you get some great perks when you wed here). Email rowleewines@wedshed.com.au for packages and to arrange a viewing.
The Pavilion at Lowe // Mudgee, NSW
The next Corona commercial should take place here because there’s honestly nowhere you’d rather be. The Pavilion at Lowe is a postcard-worthy generational property in the charming region of Mudgee, with sweeping panoramic vineyard views and delicious food and wine that’s grown and produced on-site. The Pavilion itself is a Great Gatsby meets Django Unchained masterpiece featuring chandeliers, antique furniture and modern facilities (read: fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms, solid flooring, heating and cooling systems etc). Get hitched in the open-air ‘Bush Chapel’ and enjoy canapés from the vintage caravan bar. It’s worth seeing in the flesh.

Greyleigh // Kiama, NSW
If you want a wedding with no regrets, Greyleigh is your golden ticket. Originally established as a dairy farm in the 1800s, this design-infused south coast wedding venue provides some serious eye candy for anyone with an interest in interiors. And in terms of made-to-impress amenities, it’s got it all: a pool cabana, a purpose-built “barn”, luxurious accommodation (including a private library), a day spa, century-old silos (which have been transformed into modern cocktail lounge areas) and a pizza oven (to name just a few). Let’s not forget sweeping ocean views.
Domaine de Binet // Hunter Valley, NSW
This distinctively French-meets-Australia, family-owned Hunter Valley wedding venue is irresistibly charming. The signature icon of the property is an onsite open-air chapel (Chapel Mon Coeur) where couples can seal the deal beneath enormous white beams. The vineyard is positioned to take in the impressive Brokenback Ranges, which provide a dramatic backdrop against a pink sunset. Celebrate under the stars, pitch a marquee or enjoy some of the Hunter’s best wines while hosting a soiree at Domaine de Binet’s chic and relaxed cellar door space.
Mona Farm // Braidwood, NSW
Photos never do this place justice – it’s the kind of heart-exploding venue that’s best experienced first-hand. A modern farmhouse restaurant, creating unforgettable food is at the heart and soul of The Zin House. Most ingredients are grown on-site (the restaurant looks out over the surrounding kitchen gardens, orchards and grazing farmland) and anything that isn’t comes from a nearby neighbour. The sunsets and enormous outdoor hearth (fire) make cocktail hour particularly special here.
Dryridge Estate // Blue Mountains, NSW
If you’re planning a NSW country wedding, you’d be foolish not to consider Dryridge Estate. Considered one of the most magical spots to take in the best views of the Blue Mountains, this winery is set high on a ridge allowing a sweeping escarpment vista. There are two beautiful country dwellings on-site, a striking clear marquee, and a winding driveway that truly builds the anticipation.
BoxGrove Bathurst // Bathurst, NSW
If we got a dollar for every time we mentioned BoxGrove, we’d actually afford our mortgage. For couples wanting an all-inclusive wedding venue, this 170-acre property delivers on every front. There are beautiful gardens, a budding vineyard and an abundance of accommodation that sleep 62 guests on-site. The real hero however, is The Barn – purpose built reception space which features polished concrete floors, timber beans and five-star views of the surrounding countryside.
BoxGrove is managed exclusively by Wedshed’s expert team (which means you get some great perks when you wed here). Email boxgrove@wedshed.com.au for packages and to arrange a viewing.
The Lodge Jamberoo // South Coast, NSW
Let the good times roll for an entire weekend at The Lodge Jamberoo – a quirky but cool NSW country wedding venue and hotel that can accomodate up to 120 guests across 43 rooms. With a list of amenities as big as Dwayne Johnson’s biceps, expect to find a restaurant and bar, a riverfront chapel, an incredible wedding hall, a huge outdoor pool and so much more. Essentially, this nine-acre property is designed to make any celebration here stress-free. Sound appealing? Get in line quick.
Mayfield Vineyard // Orange, NSW
This NSW Country wedding venue is an impressive place. It’s even got an arboretum (basically, a garden of ancient trees). Located in the charming wine region of Orange, it also features a 100-year-old homestead and cellar door, accommodation for 28 guests across six dwellings, a lake, rolling hills and all the amenities needed to create a stress-free celebration (things like wet weather options, a commercial kitchen and a dedicated wedding manager). The wine here is exceptionally good, too.

Waldara Farm // Oberon, NSW
Waldara is proof that you can be an authentic working farm (the property spans 800 acres of rolling hills for livestock) and also incredibly elegant and beautiful. With two gorgeous homesteads onsite sleeping 20 and a purpose-built wedding barn, you and your guests honestly won’t want to leave. There are views, there’s a tennis court, there’s a classic shearing shed as a ceremony back-up option and it’s all under three hours from Sydney or Canberra. This place has stolen our hearts for years now.
Fig Tree Restaurant // Byron Bay, NSW
Perched atop a hill, Fig Tree Restaurant enjoys some of the region’s most iconic hinterland and ocean views. That’s on top of the majestic 150 year-old fig tree that has gently shaded many special moments of vow-sharing. The restaurant itself is not just beautiful, it’s a true culinary treat with hospitality a true focus here. There’s also onsite accommodation for eight people so you and your very closest can roll into bed with full bellies and hearts.
