Why such fans you ask? Because it means everyone can wear something they’re confident and comfortable in. Plus, it honestly just looks great and a little less traditional. On the topic of mismatched, we’re also loving mismatched bridal shoes in the same tone. We espesh love the way it can give a touch of individualism when all the ladies are wearing the same dresses too. Read on for our top tips on how to nail this trend.

Here are some ways to nail mismatched bridesmaids dresses.

  • Choose a brand or label

Then pick dresses from the same range that reference the same colour scheme throughout the designs (just different dress designs, of course).

  • Find one bridesmaid dress, and build off that

Choose the first dress (or have your bridesmaid choose it if you’re leaving it up to them) and then just match the other dresses to that one. If they’re all within the same colour palette, then we’re sure it’ll look the goods.

  • Go with a texture or pattern

Another way to approach things is to choose a texture or pattern instead of focusing on a colour. We’re talking florals, jumpsuits, all satin, lace or linen, for example.

  • Share your finds

When settling on a palette, we think it looks best when everyone is wearing a different shade of that colour. E.g. if you said ‘blush pink’, ideally each of your ladies will find something with a little variation. Start a Messenger group, Whatsapp chat or a Pinterest board and invite your bridal crew to drop in dresses they like so you can all feed off each other’s finds.
