It’s a super unique and tranquil property that has a marquee onsite with polished floors and a view of the lake. Hey Meg, can you tell us a bit about what makes your offering unique?

Hey WedShed. There are quite a few things that make our venue really unique, but I would say one of the best things is being able to exclusively use the property with only one event onsite per week. We also have a free stylist who works with you to present a beautiful day, with a range of styling onsite in a massive styling facility! Plus, we also have horse and carriages onsite and are pet-friendly too.

What are some of the perks of getting married at your venue that couples might not realise?

We give our couples access one day prior to their wedding, alongside early check-in and late check-out. Plus, things like beautiful luxury lace-edged linen to add that special touch.

How did you get involved with weddings? What was the motivation?

The venue came about with the aim to share it with people. It’s a beautiful heritage property and we wanted to get into weddings so we could help maintain the old house for future generations.

Tell us about the facilities your venue offers.

Our venue offers five different ceremony locations (yes, five!), and many unique ways to present your reception. Dinners can be set up along the lake edge, in the arbour, or in our beautiful marquee. We create something unique and different for every celebration. Everything you have dreamt of is onsite helping make the experience extremely easy and well managed.

The most commonly asked question is what dates we have available. Our answer depends on the bookings in our calendar but normally we can facilitate alternatives.

What’s your favourite thing that you’ve seen a couple do at your venue?

One couple had a trained owl fly in with the wedding rings. It was the most awesome and beautiful thing we have seen so far.

What advice would you give to couples currently planning their wedding?

Allow yourselves plenty of time to plan so that everything falls into place. The day passes so quickly and if you have everything well planned, you will enjoy your day and there will be no need to worry. Fernbank manages everything, and we have never had an event where there was an issue because we help guide you with your planning and make sure all the i’s are dotted and t’s crossed.
